Chrisette Michele revealed she’s been diagnosed with autism. The 42-year-old singer opened up about her diagnosis in a post to social media on Sunday (June 15, 2025).

“I just learned I’m autistic. Official diagnosis. They used the word ‘severely,'” Michele wrote. “I’ve been quiet on here. But… I’ve been outside. Singing. … but learning to strip the mask. One show at a time. (The irony) Just… coming to grips with a lot and giving myself room to take it all in.”

 The R&B singer continued to say that the “challenges” she’s faced in life “finally make sense.” “My life and its challenges finally make sense,” Michele added. “So so much sense. Autistic. Would you get a load of that… I’ll talk more soon. Just wanted to say hi… from stage side.” 

Award-winning singer Toni Braxton just revealed that her youngest son who was diagnosed as autistic at age two, was cured of the condition.

In a recent sit down with “Access Hollywood,” she shared that now, her youngest son Diezel, who is 13-years-old, is no longer on the autism spectrum.

"My youngest son— everyone knows— my son Diezel suffers from—or I should say suffered from Autism," explains Braxton. "I am one of the lucky parents. Early diagnosis changes everything. I will tell you this. I will shout it from the rooftops. My son Diezel is off the spectrum. Off the spectrum being autistic.

In the most candid moment, the "Cut It" rapper opened up about his son's autism, particularly in contrast with family members asking him for support.

"I have a son and my son has autism," he said. "There’s certain things that I deal with that a lot of people don’t deal with. I have to do real shit and nobody knows this. I have to deal with early intervention and making sure that he’s on top of his game. My son is five years old, I have to stay on him to make sure he’s smart as hell. It’s different when your son is not typical and you have to deal with him and handle him every single day."
