Those are just a few words used to describe LeQui. After her son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder 2023, LeQui knew how important it was for other families to have resources and support for their loved ones on the spectrum. Navigating through this journey with her son was challenging and there weren't many assistance programs and resources that she was aware was availabe. Nehemiah's Place™ has become an anchor for families, through education and support.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and years of hands-on experience in the field, LeQui Gandy joined the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (Ohio) in 2024. She served as a Pre-Employment and Background Investigations Officer, where she leveraged her extensive human resources expertise and criminal justice background. In this role, LeQui has played a pivotal part in developing strategies, standards, and operational frameworks that have been successfully integrated into the newly established Recruitment, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (RDEI) Division.
Beyond her contributions to law enforcement, LeQui has always been deeply committed to children's education and community empowerment. She is an active advocate for Autism Spectrum Disorder through her non-profit organization, Nehemiah’s Place™, Founder of COFO Agency, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting school-aged children, and a dedicated public school teacher. Her passion for mentorship and service shines through her work—whether developing impactful workshops and programs or volunteering as a coach for elementary school basketball teams.
Further extending her influence, LeQui was appointed Program Administrator for Urban Aviators Society, a role that allows her to merge her love for education and youth development. Through this initiative, she is committed to nurturing and empowering the next generation of aviation scholars, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to excel in the field.
